Why is it important to see a board-certified oral surgeon?

Board-certified oral & maxillofacial surgeons are recognized as having achieved the highest standards in their profession. Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Jacobs has had extensive training in complex procedures and is an expert at performing dental implant placement and other oral surgeries. As a result, he has the knowledge, skills, and experience to give patients the best possible outcome for their oral surgery.

What kinds of sedation do you offer?

Dr. Jacobs is qualified to administer nitrous oxide, oral, IV, and general anesthesia. During your consultation, we can discuss the severity of your dental anxiety and determine which solution would best meet your needs.

How do I know that a tooth needs to be extracted?

A tooth may need to be removed for many reasons, including severe tooth decay or damage. Other scenarios include impacted wisdom teeth, advanced gum disease, and overcrowded teeth that need orthodontic care—just to name a few. If Dr. Jacobs recommends extraction, you can be sure that he’ll explain the reason clearly so that you feel confident moving forward.

What are All-on-4 implants?

With traditional implants, several months are required for the tissue and bone to heal and surround the posts properly before the restoration can be attached on top. In contrast, All-on-4 can be completed in one day! With both the placement of four posts and denture restoration performed on the same day, patients can enjoy their brand-new teeth without the long wait.

Can you treat sleep apnea?

Yes, Dr. Jacobs can treat obstructive sleep apnea, the most common type. Depending on your needs, we can offer an oral appliance that repositions your lower jaw or a surgery that addresses the obstruction more permanently.

Do you accept my dental insurance?

Likely, yes. We work with most PPO dental insurance plans, but to know for sure whether we will accept your specific plan, give our team a call!
